Hey ladies, do YOU want to be Miss Video Game 2007? By simply applying online and making a short trip to Montreal, Canada on June 10th, 2007, YOU could duke it out virtual style with four other lady-gamers to win the crown*! The winner gets $1000, a trip to sunny Mexico, a new video game console, and be featured in an upcoming video game!

Applications will be accepted until December 31st, 2006. But get this: Between Dec. 31 and Jan. 20, apparently the rest of the public (guys, no doubt) can vote on who they want to see play in the finals. Even better, the competitors can upload interviews, videos and audio clips to seduce voters. Now this sounds more like a REAL beauty pageant.

Well, my chances are slim, my video game experience is limited (especially with FPS, ugh), aaand I couldn't really be bothered to upload sexy videos of me playing with a controller. But I would love to apply for the fun of it, if I didn't already have plans to spend the summer abroad (in places more awesome than Mexico, too ^_^). And as sexist as this competition will probably be, I will be following it closely and voting for my favorite hot video game chick ^_^ Who knows, if plans change by the end of December, I just might give this a shot!

*No word on whether winner will actually receive a crown. Or sash. But that'd be sweet.
