E for All Expo, the new E3

I've always wanted go to go E3, but there were always problems like falling on finals week, falling on my birthday, and the whole, there's no way for me to get in because I have no connections to the press. Earlier this year E3 announced that it was downsizing, renaming the conference to "E3 Media and Business Summit," and making it invitation-only. Basically, my dreams of ever going to E3 were crushed. Poop.

Anyway, gaming magazine GamePro (which I've never read, but I hear I'm not missing out on much) picked up the slack and decided to come up with their own gaming conference, available to everyone! It was tentatively called GamePro Expo for a while, but now it's officially called "Entertainment for All Expo," or :gag: "E for All Expo." Dumb name aside, I'm sure it will still be a great showcase of upcoming games, along with tournaments, JOB OPPORTUNITIES :cough: and the best part (in my opinion), the Video Games Live concert! I've already gone to two video game concerts, I don't plan on stopping now. Anything that can merge my love of orchestral music and video games is fiiine by me ^_^ Oh, and I'm sure there will be a lot of free swag too. Hurray!

The expo will be held from October 18-20 at the Los Angeles Convention Center (hey, I'm already here!) and will be $100 for a three-day pass. Hopefully this website will become something by that time and I can go for free! Heh heh. Help me out folks! And then come with me and let's plaaaaaay!

Nice! I briefly heard about this from someone, it's good to know the scoop. I don't know that E for All is such a bad name... it's kudos to what was one of the greatest events of all time. I just hope people will start calling it E4.
